Sick Day – Or how I came to love pet battles

So, I’ve been slowly coming down with The Crud for the last few days.  And this morning it bloomed into full on illness.  So I’m home from work, wrapped in blankets and trying to keep down some lunch.  So, post for you guys.

I’ve never been a big ‘gotta catch them all’ fan.  I’m probably older then you (there I said it) and I missed the Pokemon craze.  (The closest I got was Pokemon Snap for one of the Nintendo systems.  You would try to take pictures of the Pokemon.)  So, when pet battles were announced I was very much “yeah whatever” about it.  And to be honest, I kinda still feel that way.  But dear lord are they addictive!!

When Mists first came out and I had to work, Husband did some pet battles but he hated having to level the pets, so he stopped at around level 10 on his team.  (I think he had two dragonkin or something and something else.  I don’t know.)  I currently have the cinderkitten (names Flames), Frosty (named Deathonwings) and Mojo (named Battletoad).  A lot of what I’m doing is trial and error.  But it’s easy and when I have to run afk in an emergency sick situation, I know I’m safe.

So right now, they are all level 13.  They’ve (so far) been a good team for me.  I’m currently in Dustwallow Marsh leveling up so I can do the ‘Battle Pet Tamers: Kalimdor’.  Weee. Fun. I’ve yet to lose a match too.   I’m at 125 wins so far.  Yay!

I made an account over at WarcraftPets.com.  We’ll see if I use it.  But yeah. That’s where I’m at right now.  Not feeling so hot.  Ugh.
